I've often wondered if the Racket Squad's lack of huge local success had anything to do with lead singer Sonny DiNunzio being a relative of Terry Lee. From what I understand, competition was pretty fierce back in the day between TL and the "big boys," which might have had something to do with the lack of Racket Squad airplay on other stations.

Another story goes that the backing track on the original "You're The One" by The Vogues was done by the Racket Squad. DiNunzio's vocals were pulled and the track used for the Vogues' release.
