Sad to lose the last member of the Fun Lovin' Five, just months after his buddy, Dex Allen, left us.

Chuck was a tremendous DJ without gimmicks. He succeeded in every daypart at KQV, then did well in middays at WTAE and mornings at FM 97. I always thought there might be a Pittsburgh comeback possible when 3WS was still oldies, but it was not to be. Chuck lived the rest of his days in Texas.

We also lost a valuable source of Pittsburgh radio history. Chuck had a great memory for names and places. Wish he could have gotten those memories down in print or on tape.

All the best to Carmy, the kids and grandkids. It was an honor to know Chuck.
