Well, my mother's 'womens club' attended "Meet Your Neighbor', a show hosted by Joe Mann and wife Elaine (I think she used another last name) Johnny Costa was the piano/organ player to provide some the theme music and play for when Joe or Elaine might sing. I skipped school for the day to go along and we sat on folding chairs in the big studio. Not much of a set. A back drop with show name and a picket fence that Joe would stand behind when interviewing the women during the event of the show that was a quiz contest between 3 or 4 ladies. Some prize was given to the winner, but every one in audience was given a sample bag of sponsors products.
In college we would kill the time on a Saturday afternoon when Clark Race would have his dance show. All the guys in the big tv room had some favorite girls that were regulars. Clark's show seemed 'cooler' to watch that WIIC's show.
