Back in July of 1976 I was working for the city of Pittsburgh at its 200 year USA Independence Day celebration at a stage in Point Park Handling the sound system.

Early evening of that day one of the activities was Dennis Holly reading "I am the liberty bell" about what the bell would say if it could talk.

What I remember was that as he read the nice story he started to tear up a bit and his voice cracked in a sincere show of patriotism...something genuine and touching that touched me and a lot of others who saw it.

Funny how seeing his picture made me think of it.
