The first color tv I ever watched was in a bar and the World Series was on. An afternoon game back then. I can still remember the green grass around the pitcher's mound.
Sometime in the early 70s my parents purchased an RCA color tv. I remember visiting on a Sunday evening and Bonanza was on in 'living color'. They had that big old console RCA tv for years and years.
Our first color tv was a big combination console with a phonograph on one side and radio on other flanking the color tv in the middle. Had the "tennarotor" on the roof and it was nice enjoying FREE tv and no monthly cable bill.
I could pick up WTRF from Wheeling and WSTV from Stubenville and WJAC from Johnston (serving millions from atop the Alleghenies)as well as all the local stations.
