Subject: Scripted Radio Programs

Does anyone have nostalgic memories about listening to comedies or dramas on the radio? I recall in the early 1980s WDUQ ran some entertaining "throwback" radio shows. I used to listen to them while driving around in the evening, or at the office when we worked nights. There was the radio version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and a version of "Star Wars", both from the BBC. (Naturally!) There was also a series on in the evenings called "Rabbit Ears Radio", which was an anthology of scripted radio shows. Does anyone remember any other such radio shows?

As an aside, the Eagles' song "Journey of the Sorcerer" was the source for the theme song for "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". That's an interesting song, totally unsuitable for airplay because it's too long and it's an instrumental. But if you're a music fan, it's worth giving a listen to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rOMGIbY-9s
