As an old man now, I still have fond memories of listening to Party Line on so many evenings growing up. There were many nights I knew the answer to the "Party Pretzel" but was too afraid to call and actually talk to Ed or Wendy. It was really intersting to think of how many of us connected to one another without ever hearing our voices, as Ed or Wendy would relate the calls. How much nicer it was hear them interpret the callers thoughts than to hear all the bad grammar and dumb ideas on today's talk shows. I particularly loved the Halloween time shows. I believe he had ghost stories on most of October..or it seemed that way he related so many. It is so sad his life ended so soon and taking his talent away from us.
