Subject: RIP, Patrick Emory
Former KDKA-TV news anchor from the early 1970s has passed away. This was posted on Facebook. Condolences to his family and friends.
Former KDKA-TV News Anchor Patrick Emory has died. Emory anchored a 7pm. newscast at KDKA-TV -- from June, 1971-June, 1973 -- after Paul Moyer left -- to go to New York, and, eventually, Los Angeles.
Emory also anchored one of KDKA-TV's early-evening, prime time access shows, when the station was owned by Group W, Westinghouse Broadcasting Company -- called -- "About A Week".
Emory eventually anchored at CNN and married a co-anchor, Donna Kelley, but they were later divorced.

Quite capable of hosting programs - from the serious to the light. They have ranged from needle exchange programs, to telethons, to the Rams Superbowl pre and post game shows.
Patrick also worked in several talk radio situations. They were between or in addition to TV work. In many cases there were guests to be interviewed. In others, it was simply taking calls from listeners. Those radio stations were:

Patrick William Emory died in his home of natural causes on 06/05/2016. He lived in St. Petersburg, Fl. Born 03/23/1943 in Tampa, FL to Silas and Elizabeth Emory. Patrick graduated from California State University San Jose in 1967. Patrick was an award winning news anchor. His 33 plus year career took him all over the country. He worked at KOVR 13 with co-anchor Jennifer Whitney from 1991-1994. He retired in 2003 from WFTS in Tampa, FL. Patrick's greatest pleasure was boating. He also enjoyed holding court to a captive audience. Patrick was quick witted and never reticent to give his opinion. Patrick is survived by son's Peter (Darlene) and Andrew Emory. Grandchildren Samantha and Wyatt, and his beloved Jack Russell Terriers. He was preceded in death by his father Silas, mother Elizabeth, and wife Brigitte.
