--Jim Horne, KDKA personality from 1967-72, died Jan. 14, age 72.

--Lloyd Kaiser, former WQED executive, died Jan. 22, age 88.

--Wayne Van Dine, former reporter for WPXI and KDKA-TV, died Jan. 22, age 77.

--Sam Merrill, former WTAE-TV anchor and reporter, died Feb. 25, age 55.

--John Rook, KQV program director from 1963-67, died March 1, age 78.

--John Borders, KQV program director from 1967-68, died March 30, age 78.

--Dow Carnahan, longtime Westmoreland County broadcaster, died April 29, age 56.

--Patrick Emory, former KDKA-TV anchor, died June 5, age 73.

--Earl Bugaile, KQV anchor and producer, died June 5, age 69.

--Bill Cardille, longtime WIIC/WPXI personality who also worked in radio for WWSW, WIXZ and WJAS, died July 21, age 87.

--Jim Carnegie, former KQV announcer who also published an industry newsletter, died July 25, age 66.

--Gary Larkin, former oldies DJ for several stations, died Aug. 4, age 69.

--Ray Walker (Weitzel), former air personality at several stations and executive producer of the Penguins Radio Network, died Aug. 7, age 56.

--Herb Koster, former KDKA-TV and WIIC anchor, died Aug. 10, age 86.

--Sam Nicotero, former WJAS, Y108, WBVP and WMBA personality, died Oct. 2, age 75.

--Esther Lapiduss, former WIIC entertainment reporter, died Nov. 22, age 96.

--Regis Bobonis, Sr. Pittsburgh's first African-American TV reporter at WIIC, died Nov. 25, age 91.

--Mavis Logan, former WYDD and WAMO personality and TV reporter for WIIC, WPGH and KDKA's Evening Magazine, died Dec. 9, age 80.

--John Pfab, former WTAE-TV traffic reporter and staffer for several radio stations, died Dec. 23, age 54.

--Rich Conaty, former 1970s WYEP staffer, died Dec. 30, age 62.
