I enjoyed KDKA's lineup when it started off with Program PM, then Party Line, then whoever was in charge after midnight. I find it interesting that Jim Bohannon is treated much like a local talent, though KD only clears two of three hours of his syndicated show. Interesting also that KD replaced "Overnight America," a show only syndicated to a handful of stations, with "Red Eye Radio" which it either snatched from KQV or KQV dumped in favor of Bloomberg between "When Radio Was" and its morning news block. It is very hard to find local programming in my DX travels. Presuming that I haven't given up and decide to go to sleep to the BBC on WESA or whatever CBS Sports Radio talent fills the wee hours on KDKA-FM, I do find the all-news 50-kw stations sound the most alive, if not the most local (well, not local for Pittsburgh), though I think WGN offers some interesting talk on 720 from Chicago.
