I taped episodes of "The Place - KQV" at the KDKA studios when I was in high school. I visited Porky Chedwick at WAMO, when he was working on a table set up in the corner in the old live radio show theater. I visited WJPA in Washington when they were in the basement of the George Washington Hotel, and later when they moved to their new digs. I worked for them for about a week or two. I worked for a few months at WKEG, so I saw their "studios" in the old mobile home next to the transmitter. I recorded one commercial at KDKA studios, for a car dealer in Mount Lebanon. I worked at WQED while I was in high school, and for about a year after that, so I saw their old setup in what's now Pitt's music building, and then later at the concrete bunker next to Central Catholic.
