Subject: shetland sheep

Hello,
Found you on Homesteading site. we raise shetland sheep, and although we have only had this flock since December, I was born and raised with sheep. Been around those that did things the old way and those that had radical ideas at the time. Used to raise sulfolk crosses growing up. When we finally got our own farm we took almost a year to narrow our choices down.
We purchased the shetlands because they are considered an unimproved breed that are very smart, great mothers and tend to lamb easily. They also have wonderful fiber.
Look forward to this group growing. we are located in Ohio.
