To add to Becky's report from Saturday, thought I would mention that late AM today Tue 28th, in Wintergarden Park in Bowling Green, no rarities, but the good variety and numbers continued. In about an hour, in the woodlot near the nature center and driveway, Chris (the naturalist) and I could pick out at least 13 warblers:
Black-throated Green
Black-and-White
Blackpoll
Black-throated Blue
Magnolia
Canada
Chestnut-sided
Bay-breasted
Redstart
Blue-winged
Tennessee
Nashville
Ovenbird
Also orioles, tanagers, and empidonax flycatchers were around. A nighthawk was found roosting on a snag near the Nature Center. On Sunday, an Olive-sided flycatcher was found. I suppose chances are there's some similar activity these days, in a woodlot near you! :-)
