Subject: Shorebirds

Gulls and shorebirds have been hanging out on the flooded soccer fields west of Bowling Green (intersection of Conneaut Ave. and Mitchell Rd.). Mostly yellowlegs and killdeer, some pectorals, a few semi-palmated plovers, a few peeps...I was only about half way through the flock when some idiots in the neighboring houses set off firecrackers and that was the end of that. We found other puddles around town but no more birds. Hopefully they will continue at the soccer fields.
