Dante Mille according to all reports is really turning heads at the Giants training camp. Yesterday’s scrimmage was a big day for Dante, as he scored on two long TD passes out of the backfield. On the first, he took a swing pass and outran the entire secondary (4.27 speed) and on the second he beat a LB for the score. Right now he’s probably the 4th RB on the depth chart but hopefully can move up.He is much bigger and stronger than in college. We didn’t use him much as a receiver out of the backfield but apparently that is what the Giants have in mind for him.

More favorable news about Miller’s excellent training camp. Now listed as #4 RB.

Two- Three years ago the NFL doubled the practice team roster to 16. The UFL is gaining some traction and there’s always Canadian Football League. Now more than ever there is more opportunities for players to go pro. If Dante Miller makes the active roster which Columbia school will he claim?
I’m worried about to potential 1A roster limits will affect Ivy grad transfers from joining big time programs with the hopes of getting noticed by pro scouts.

According to the Gamecocks website for the 2022 Dante Miller appeared in six games and 38 yards on six carries. Dante Miller isn’t listed on South Carolina’s 2024 roster.

Dante had a solid game in the first preseason contest—60 + yards on 12 carries; he has a solid shot to make the roster.

II think Dante made an NFL roster (if mot Giants than another team). Anytime a player’s speed and quickness stand out on an NFL field you know every GM in the league notices

Fastest man on the Giant roster and strongest pound for pound. He has made the most so far of his opportunity. If the Giants try to stash him on the taxi squad somebody else will grab him. My guess is New England.

Former Columbia star Dante Miller was indeed very impressive in his first NFL game as the Giants used him as their sole running back throughout the second half against the Detroit Lions. It certainly was fun for Columbia football fans that Miller was the center of attention for the Giants broadcasters on practically every play as they were well aware of his speed and breakaway ability.
