Crimson return a load of ball carriers including 3 of top 16 in conference in rushing yards (McLaughlin (#2), DePrima (#8) Craig (#16). Isaih Abbey and Xaviah Bascon also return. Abbey is a 225 lb beast who ran over a large Howard defense for 120 yards and 3 TD's but barely played otherwise.

Unfortunately, Harvard's QB's weren't as stellar throwing the ball, but maybe with another year of experience they'll improve. Also, looks like a few top OL guys have moved onwards (and in some instances upwards).

Harvard's defense wasn't as strong as it has been in the past. A lot interceptions and big plays, but otherwise middle of the pack.

The talent is there to control the game by running the football, but Harvard is going to have to take advantage when opponents stack the line on defense. Should be another competitive year.

Agreed on the importance of the running game in this league.
Question - Who is the most recent Ivy League running back to rush for 1,000 yards or more in a season? The last time Cornell, which I realize has been a bottom feeder in the Ivy League reached that mark was in 2005.

Without “cheating “ by looking at the stats I’m guessing Harvard’s Aidan Bourget. Phil Steele magazine once listed Princeton QB John Lovett top 100 QB and RB! If that counts then he’s also my guess.
