 the issue for Columbia was going to be whether the pitching would hold up; Sheets was good but not as dominant as he had been in the prior Penn game; Santana was dominant; and Edwards was great for 4 innings but started to run out of gas by the 5th, which is a pattern with him. I had thought that Yale would be the toughest draw because of its pitching and wa frankly stunned that it lost two games to Harvard. But as I said before the tournament, never bet against a Brett Boretti coached team—two extra inning wins and then a blowout.
