If there turns out to be less attrition than they anticipate they will have skewed future recruiting, to the extent the 108/4 is a real thing. I am guessing they just keep tabs on people they passed on initially and go back to them if a decommit does occur; and some Ivies are more likely to fill a gap with a transfer than others I would guess. Bear in mind, too, that commits we fans list here off of websites and twitter might well be on another team's list of recruits who made known their desire to play football and the latter coaches had a positive reaction. Not every one on our lists may actually be tabbed a football recruit for the 108/4 purposes. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

In addition to backfilling decommits, they need to continually re-recruit their current players. The earlier filling in of the 2030 class may reflect that there is no downside to locking in a landing place while these recruits continue to shop for a better offer.
