In reply to: joiseyfan 's message, "NCAA Lacrosse First Round" on 20:49:26 05/10/26 Sun

Jimmy McCool was a pleasure to listen to in the postgame interview. He played a truly outstanding game in goal. He took no credit and spread it to all of his teammates and the defense. He had lost his grandmother earlier in the week and spoke, choking and tearing up, about how coaches and teammates had lifted him up since. The young man really honored her with his championship-level play.

I was also struck by Jimmy McCool's emotional reference to a "tough week" (as well as his accidental F-bomb ...). Tough loss for Yale and goalie play was the difference-maker.
