Gels are not as strong as acrylic but they are more flexible, so the trade off works for almost everyone. The only people who should not wear gel nails are those who WANT fake nails! That is people who want to wear them too long to be a real nail. Gels are best when they grow out to length, rather than using tips for length. For nail biters or those with really short nails, then tips or forms are fine at the full set, provided that the length is adjusted at each fill back to that original full set length untill the fake tip extension has grown out and been cut off and it is only natural nail under the gel. So for natural looking lengths on natural looking nails gel are the perfect answer. For those who want "look at me" talons with extra long lengths and dramatic arching then acrylic is their answer.

Gel is the best choice for medium to moderate length nails that look and feel real and natural. As with all nail enhancements the client should follow home care such as gloves, oil, etc. for the best possible outcomes.
