Subject: Speaking of UConn

You thought the schedule was tougher THIS year, just wait until next year. After checking the UConn board, the Huskies WILL be visiting the Cintas Center next year. One of the players, Tamika Williams, happens to live in Dayton, and Xavier was the only school in Ohio that agreed to play UConn (although I haven't heard any confirmation from any XU official). If this is true, here are the noncon games that Xavier has set up for 2001-2002:

HOME:
Connecticut
Cincinnati (WB64)
AWAY:
Vanderbilt
Florida State

Both Vandy and FSU will be return games on the road; I would imagine the UConn game would be televised locally (if not nationally on ESPN) as well. And by the way, someone PLEASE get the women on radio! I don't care if it's WLW, WBOB, WCKY, or even WVXU, a Top 10 team deserves a radio contract in which to listen to all games, home AND away!

I doubt very seriously there would be enough listeners to support carrying every Lady Muskies basketball game. With graduation, the team will probably be doing its fair share of losing next year, so I don't think we're going to have a top-10 women's team hear next year. -- GoMuskies, 23:34:57 03/28/01 Wed
