I think I understand all the problems.. but the traditional interior designs don't seem (to me) to be the only way to go-- for example, check out the interior of the 33' Pearsons. There is a double berth enclosed to starboard-aft. The head is enclosed to port-aft. There is a nav. station to port, galley at starboard in a U-configuration. I'd probably ditch the v-berth for a work/storage space.. but whatever. I am not pushing the Pearson, but DO wonder about alternatives to designs that mostly seem aimed at being able to claim "sleeps a gagillion". Maybe I am just being anti-social. Anyway, my question was: "has anyone radically altered their interior?"--- sounds like it is pretty uncommon.
