Subject: Where I disagree

Not that anyone should care, but here's where I disagree with what Jay has written in his books:

1. Zero Sum Game. While as the workd population increases, I will agree that there is something of a zero sum game asthetically (the increasing inability to escape the sign of man), I disagree in many respects resource wise. So long as the population is growing with thinking and productive people, these people contribute to greater wealth...assuming, that is, the population isn't growing Idiocracy style...a possibility I might ooncede.

2. Wealth is violence. Similarly, I don't regard a particularly wealthy individual as having engaged in violence. In fact, I regard the superwealthy as having (stupidly?) exchanged the potential for adventure for simple wealth. Using a medical doctor as an example, this individual basically trades his life for wealth and a modicum of statisfaction gained from helping others...and, while I'm glad that there are people who make this bargain, it certainly is not the bargain that I can imagine, on my own deathbed, being satisfied in having made.
