Subject: Challenging Race

Only two boats (that we know of) went out. Perry in Dynamo Hum finished first in just under 10 hrs. Rowing was the important as conditions ranged from calm, to NW, S, SW, and SE, and winds up to and beyond 20 knots. Exciting down wind run from Clark Pt. to Bellingham.
Too bad more of you don't participate. It was a lot of fun and much is learned by attempting the fastest passage on longer courses like this. Perry's research of prevailing currents gave him the edge. Any boat could win this race - it's all about strategy. We hope more of you try it next year!
