>Hello friends,
I can give you my take on that. I did see the response you gave Mike, and do remember reading that somewhere, and it's partly true. Also, I think that the fans who watched us for years in other local bands expected more from us than we ever delivered once we became more than "just a local band". For a period of time we didn't return to play locally, as we were out on that road to wherever you go to be... more than local! And we did talk about wanting to play back home, and missing the local scene because the band was a huge draw at the local pubs playing ass kicking rock and roll, and we had a lot of fun doing exactly that. Honestly, the road was a struggle much of the time, in my eyes, and nowhere near the fun of local gigs. A local bar full of rowdy friends on a hot summer night in Ohio still remains one of my favorite gigs.
Respect is a tough one to answer. Again, I feel most people who knew us expected ..more. What we were able to accomplish in the short life of the band, along with the Mods, Choir, and Cyrus Erie days thrown in should have earned us a little more than we did get. I hear from Cleveland friends that we are represented in the Hall of Fame, although I've never been there, so that is a show of some respect. WELL anyway, good to hear from you all!

Rock On, Dave

Dave is it just my imagination or did the 'berries
>never get the support and respect in their hometown
>like some other artists (Billy Joel in Long Island,

>what's your opinion on why this was the case?
