I'm in Adelaide and for 10 years I have been doing free research for people all around the world who want information about ancestors who came here inthe 1800's. I saw your request re information about Henry Wade and decided to see if I could find anything for you when I was in the library two days ago. Unfortunately the amount I have found would fit in a match box with room left over.

ARRIVAL FROM OVERSEAS.

Henry Wade, occupation engineer, ged 26years, married, of Middlesex England and Susanna, wife aged 23 years arrived in South Australia 30th September 1858 aboard the "Frenchman" which sailed from Liverpool.

Also aboard the "Frenchman" were (1) Elizabeth Wade, single aged 24 years, occupation housemaid from Surrey, and Jane Wade single, aged 15years, occupation housemaid.

I have searched the marriage records in South Australia for both Jane and Elizabeth Wade.

There are quite a large number of Jane Wade's marriages, and just as many for Elizabeth Wade's marriage, but not one of them had a father Henry.

I'm sorry I could not be of further help.

However, when I am in the library again (I go one or two days a week) I can look up the shipping from South Australia to either Victoria, Tasmania or Western Australia, and just perhaps I may find something.
