Wayne,

if there isn't enough permits to go around, then how can you get more then One? this should be evidence that you have little or no chance of getting more then one! I get one Archery and one Gun once every few years but mostly i get permits from others who can't hunt or go wait at the stations, that part nobody is talking about, alot of hunters will only hunt one day or even one part of the day, so many times i have sat at the station and gotten hunts that are still good for three full days, again another lost hunt if it goes Non-transferable!

The only thing you are concerned with is spreading out the permits, stopping the Gaming, your not concerned at all about whether or not any hunting is done or the fact that most likely alot of hunting days will be lost!

Remember, the UHF has to make sure all Hunters get a far shake here, what I see as do most people, a loss in hunting days for most WMA hunters with this Non-transferable system, Yes, i agree the system in it's present form has problems, can we fix them? we haven't even tried to yet! Why not? All we're asking is to try and fix what we have now, We're not going to stop all the gamming but we will still be able to use the permits if we so desire too... That equals more hunting then making them Non-transferable or "dead" if Named user doesn't use it!

As for the last question, look at the Toso Pamplet, read the Quota infomation portion... the UHF was informed about this and asked to help get hunters onboard, The reason for the change was to keep hunters from making certain WMAs, this one in general, their personal lease by keeping or obtaining all the permits they could! i seen it in action this year seen them stamp the permit seen the person who killed the deer hunting license looked at and their name put on the harvest sheet!

This needs some time to be effective, something else i heard, checking permits for whos name is on it and whos holding/using it, and documenting if they were one in the same or not, this is another good idea, it'll give the FWC some data to see exactly how the permit is being used! this will show us if the Non-transferable system will cause hunters a loss in hunting or not! Again, we need data to make good Changes!

Mark
