The seller nodded his head, smiling lightly towards the woman. "Matinee's a bit of a show ring reject. They think his problem was overprotectiveness - he loves people of all ages and is wonderful about children - but he snaps sometimes around other dogs. Apparently, there just wasn't the time to work him out of it."

He paused a moment, thinking about the rest of the questions. "He has basic obedience down pat, as he was show trained, but I don't think he's ever seen horses before. Shows no interest in cats, though."
