Shake your Body!
Every day find new ways to move your body. Use the stairs rather than an escalator or elevator. Walk your dog (or a neighbours' dog if you don't have one!) , chase your kids, play ball with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute cardiovascular class or body pump or kickboxing. Move more and feel better!
Cut the Fat
Don't eat the obvious fat in your diet such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats. Eat dairy products like cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts and even then in their low fat verions. Most are available in lower fat versions.
Reduce Stress
Stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e., go back to number one above!, exercise is a great stress reducer, Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Stop Smoking
All the experts agree on this one. Ever since 1960 when it was announced that smoking was harmful to your health, people have been reducing their use of tobacco products. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' image of smokers. Find ways to quit smoking hypnosis, support groups and even prescription medicine such as Zyban is available to help you.
Reduce your exposure to Pollution
Not everyone can live in a smog-free environment, but we can all avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning where air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution deterrent. If you ride a bicycle in traffic, where a small pollution mask over your mouth and nose.

Statistics show that the wearing of seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes.
Floss Your Teeth
Harvard Medical School studied longevity and found one of the most important contributing factors was daily flossing! Flossing and brushing your teeth daily can make your RealAge as much as 6.4 years younger. These studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't?

History of Canada (ODA2170) -- Anonymous, Wed, Sep 03 2008, 8:00:58

Canada is a land of many cultures and many peoples. Aboriginal peoples have occupied the territory now called Canada for several thousands of years. Everybody else, either by birth or by descent, has been an immigrant - we have all come from somewhere else. It has been said that Canada is a "nation of immigrants."There are three main groups of Aboriginal peoples in Canada: the First Nations, the Inuit and the Métis. There are more than 50 different languages spoken by Canada's Aboriginal peoples, most of which are spoken only in Canada. In fact, the name "Canada" may have come from the word "Kanata," which means a settlement in the language of the Huron-Iroquois First Nations peoples. As a country, Canada came into being on July 1, 1867. This event is known as "Confederation." Before 1867, the French arrived first, then the British. Each brought their own language, system of government, laws and culture. In 1763, after a long war between the British and the French, all of Canada came under British rule and was known as "British North America." In the late 18th and into the 19th century, during and after the time of the American Revolution, many African-Americans and United Empire Loyalists fled the United States for Canada, where British ties remained and slavery had been abolished. During the mid- to late 19th and early 20th century, waves of immigrants arrived from Europe, attracted by the opportunity of a new and better life in Canada. Some settled in towns and cities; others worked in factories, mines and lumber camps. Many were farmers who turned the Prairie region into wheat fields. Asian immigrants from China, Japan and India settled mainly in the western provinces during this time. Many immigrants helped build Canada's national railways, which joined the east and west coasts and opened up the interior for settlement. After both world wars, thousands of Europeans came to Canada as immigrants and refugees and helped build Canada's post-war economy. Over the last 50 years, people from all over the globe have sought a better life or have sought refuge in Canada, fleeing civil wars, political unrest and natural disasters. Canada still needs the skills, talents and enthusiasm of newcomers to build our country, together with those who have come before them. All of this has been reflected in Canada's immigration and refugee policies. Today, Canada is home to immigrants from more than 240 countries. Most newcomers decide to become citizens of Canada, after they are settled and have met the requirements of Canadian citizenship. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/history.htm">http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/history.htm</a>

Be healthy and enjoy the life.(OD010) -- Anonymous, Thu, Jul 24 2008, 7:28:07

What is slimmer face (d257) -- Anonymous, Fri, Jul 04 2008, 6:36:38

Make-up timeline
To ensure your eyes stay healthy and free of infection when using make-up, heed the following due-date rules. Throw out your mascara after three months, powder eye shadows every nine to 18 months, and cream eye shadows every six to 12 months. Sharpen your eyeliners often to keep them clean.
Mascara mistakes
To avoid mascara flake-off or smudging on your face, apply a thin cost of mascara to top lashes only. Then run an eyelash brush through lashes to prevent clumpy mascara build-up.

Get a rosy glow
Want your face to radiate a healthy glow? Try using a gel blush or cream (instead of powder) in a rosy shade of pink to create a more natural look. Gels or creams are more transparent and blend smoothly – rub it on the apples of your cheek and blend up towards the eye for a glowing complexion.

Minute manicure
Need a fast fix for unpolished nails? File nails into a square shape, buff them to create a bit of shine and apply a clear coat of polish. Next rub in cuticle oil around the edges of the nail and moisturize your whole hand. It takes less than 15 minutes and will give your appearance a polished look.

Brow etiquette
The trend in eyebrows for this season is natural looking, not sparse and skinny. Use a tinted brow definer or eyeshadow to fill in scanty brows.

Fix tired feet
Pamper your tired feet with a luxurious footbath. Fill a basin with warm water and add a few drops of essential oils. Next place marbles or small stones (found at your local garden centre) into the basin. Run your toes and soles of your feet over the marbles, and relax for 15 minutes.

The Canadian climate: What expect, what clothes to bring (es18) -- Anonymous, Sat, Jun 28 2008, 18:37:05

Most of Canada has four distinct seasons:

spring, summer, autumn and winter.

The temperatures and weather in each season can be different from one part of the country to another. Here is what you can expect.

Spring:

Spring is a rainy season in most parts of Canada. Daytime temperatures rise steadily, but the nights remain cool. Averagedaytime temperatures are about 12°C in March, April and early May.

Summer:

Summer officially begins on June 21, but July and August are summer for most Canadians. In summer, the weather is very warm in most parts of the country. In southern Canada, daytime temperatures are normally above 20°C and can sometimes rise above 30°C.

Autumn:

The autumn season, or fall, as it's often called, begins in September. The weather cools and the leaves on many trees change colour and fall to the ground. It can also be very rainy at this time of year. In some parts of Canada, especially northern or mountain regions, snow may begin to fall by late October. Average daytime temperatures are about 10°C to 12°C in most of the country. The autumn months are September, October and November.

Winter:

During the winter months (December, January and February), the temperature in most of the country usually stays below 0°C, day and night. Temperatures in some parts of the country periodically drop below -25°C, while along the West Coast, the temperature rarely drops below 0°C. In most of Canada, snow will be on the ground from mid-December to the middle of March. The higher in elevation and the farther north you go, the longer and colder winter becomes.
:

If you arrive in Canada in the winter, you will need warm clothing such as insulated, waterproof boots; an overcoat; a scarf for your neck; a hat that covers your ears; and gloves or mittens. If you come from a warm climate, buy some winter clothes before you leave for Canada, if possible. Or, be ready to buy winter clothes soon after arriving (note also that winter clothes are more expensive than summer clothes). You may wish to contact an immigrant-serving organization in your new community for help.

Your first few days in Canada - how you make a lease (es18) -- Anonymous, Fri, Jun 27 2008, 9:00:36

Signing a lease

Once you agree to rent an apartment or a house, you may be asked to sign a one-year
lease.

This legal document of one or two pages describes the rental property, the utilities included and the options, such as parking and storage. It may also state whether pets or more people are allowed.

Most apartments are leased by the year, although some are rented monthly.

You will probably need to pay the first and last month's rent when you sign the lease. If your apartment requires a lease, your landlord will give you the lease form to sign. Read it over carefully before you sign it.

Pay special attention to the parts that state exceptions and additions. You should know which utilities you will pay for and which ones will be paid for by the landlord. Be sure you know what the monthly rent payment includes.

For example, is the electricity included? the water included? the parking included? Also find out whether you have to pay a fee if you leave before the lease term is over.

You cannot usually break a lease agreement. It is also likely you will be asked to provide a Canadian reference or to have a co-signer sign the lease to guarantee your financial commitment.

What is slimmer face (OD010) -- Anonymous, Fri, Jun 27 2008, 7:09:23

Make-up timeline
To ensure your eyes stay healthy and free of infection when using make-up, heed the following due-date rules. Throw out your

mascara after three months, powder eye shadows every nine to 18 months, and cream eye shadows every six to 12 months. Sharpen

your eyeliners often to keep them clean.
Mascara mistakes
To avoid mascara flake-off or smudging on your face, apply a thin cost of mascara to top lashes only. Then run an eyelash

brush through lashes to prevent clumpy mascara build-up.

Get a rosy glow
Want your face to radiate a healthy glow? Try using a gel blush or cream (instead of powder) in a rosy shade of pink to

create a more natural look. Gels or creams are more transparent and blend smoothly – rub it on the apples of your cheek and

blend up towards the eye for a glowing complexion.

Minute manicure
Need a fast fix for unpolished nails? File nails into a square shape, buff them to create a bit of shine and apply a clear

coat of polish. Next rub in cuticle oil around the edges of the nail and moisturize your whole hand. It takes less than 15

minutes and will give your appearance a polished look.

Brow etiquette
The trend in eyebrows for this season is natural looking, not sparse and skinny. Use a tinted brow definer or eyeshadow to

fill in scanty brows.

Fix tired feet
Pamper your tired feet with a luxurious footbath. Fill a basin with warm water and add a few drops of essential oils. Next

place marbles or small stones (found at your local garden centre) into the basin. Run your toes and soles of your feet over

the marbles, and relax for 15 minutes.

Way to get the Job opportunities in Canada (es18) -- Anonymous, Wed, Jun 25 2008, 22:54:24

Service Canada Centres: Counsellors at these centres can give you free advice and
information about job and language training and work creation programs for newcomers. They can help you plan an effective job search and prepare a résumé of your education and experience. Each centre also has listings of available jobs on computer or on bulletin boards.

Classified advertisements: Every daily newspaper in Canada has a classified advertisements section where you will find a variety of jobs listed. In many areas, there are also weekly or monthly employment papers that advertise jobs.
Local help: To help newcomers prepare to enter the Canadian work force or to gain
access to their profession or trade in Canada, immigrant-serving organizations have a variety of programs. Some give workshops on job search skills, where participants get an overview of the job market where they live. Participants learn, among other things, how to write a good
résumé and how to behave in an interview. In some areas, there are jobfinding clubs, mentoring programs, programs to help you get volunteer work experience, and wage subsidy programs.

Your personal "network": One of the best ways to learn about jobs is to talk to people. They can be people you know well, or people you have just met. Even if they cannot lead you directly to a job, they can provide you with information, ideas and names of other people who might be able to help and encourage you.
The Internet: Many Web sites have information on job opportunities. You can search for a job on-line in any part of Canada. Some sites also give practical advice on how to plan your job search. Others allow you to apply for a job directly on the Internet, or to post your
résumé (in English or French). When you do this, your résumé goes into a database that can be searched by employers. Try visiting the following Web sites, run by the federal government.

www.directioncanada.gc.ca: The Going to Canada Immigration Portal is an important resource that provides on-line information and services from a variety of government and non-government sources to help you make informed decisions about coming to Canada.

www.hrsdc.gc.ca: This is the national Web site of Human Resources and Social Development Canada, a federal department.

www.jobsetc.ca: This site will take you through all the steps needed to choose a career and to carry out an effective work search.

www.workinfonet.ca: This is a national site for career and labour market information. It will link you to job information for each province and territory. It also includes information on self-employment, education and training.

www.SkillNet.ca: This is a large network of job and career information Web sites. It can link you to full-time and part-time job opportunities. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/job.htm">http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/job.htm</a>

Around the communities of Canada (es18) -- Anonymous, Tue, Jun 24 2008, 17:53:19

Most newcomers to Canada tend to settle in the three biggest cities - Toronto, Montréal
and Vancouver. But many newcomers and many Canadians choose to live in the medium-sized cities, which they feel have as much to offer as the larger cities with a better quality of life.

Among the medium-sized cities are St. John's, Halifax, Québec City, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, St. Catharines, Oshawa, Windsor, Sudbury, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Victoria.

All of the medium-sized cities have diverse, multi-ethnic populations ranging in size from approximately 150,000 to one million people, and all have the variety of public and private institutions and services found in the largest cities.

Some newcomers like the idea of living in smaller cities or towns like Moncton, Fredericton, Red Deer and Kelowna or prefer to live in a rural area. Depending on your skills or professional qualifications, some regions may have better job opportunities than others.

Each Web site has a list of government departments and agencies. In the bigger provinces, some government departments may have their own Web sites, with more detailed information. You may also find a directory of on-line services, a link to educational institutions, and a link to major cities and towns. Most of the Web sites also have a tourism section, where you can
discover the special attractions of each province and territory.

The Web site has links to information on the labour market and the housing market of communities across Canada. It also has useful s and information about moving within Canada.

Francophone communities: French is the mother tongue of 6.6 million Canadians. Most Francophones live in Quebec, but almost one million live in Canada's other provinces and territories.

: Research carefully the labour market trends or access to your profession in the province and city where you wish to live.

: To locate the medium-sized cities on a map of Canada, go to pages 26 and 27.

: Outside the larger cities, the costs of housing, higher education and services are often much lower.Visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/communities.htm">http://settlementincanada.50webs.com/communities.htm</a>

High collars shortens necks. Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shortens your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars. A short necklace can shorten your neck. A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion. T
hicker vertical lines in plaids lengthens and slims. Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look. An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a fuller you. Prints around the neck and over the shoulder can make your shoulders appear wider. Just wear prints near the parts of your figure's assets, because they are usually more eye catching than a solid color. When buying pants be sure they fit well. Defects are emphasized in a pair of pants that may go unnoticed in a skirt. Petite women. Petite women need to keep clothes in line, slim narrow belts. Schools and Universities of Canada (es18)) -- Anonymous, Tue, Jun 24 2008, 9:13:21

There is no national school system in Canada. Schools and universities are run by the provinces; therefore, education varies somewhat from province to province. Most elementary and secondary schooling is public, meaning it is free and open to everyone. Depending on the individual province, primary eduation starts at pre-kindergarten and continues to the end of grade 6 or 8.

This is followed by secondary education or high school. In some provinces this may be divided into junior high (grades 7 to 9) and senior high (grades 10 to 12). Normally, students must complete the required academic courses in high school in order to be admitted to university or college.

The regular school year runs from late August or early September until mid- to late June.
New students can usually be registered throughout the school year. Most schools are
closed on national holidays. Also, all schools are closed between Christmas Eve and New
Year's Day, and most are closed for a week in March for spring break. The longest school
holiday occurs over the summer months of July and August.
Universities and community colleges hold their regular classes from late August or early
September until April, although some courses are offered from January to April and a smaller number are available over the summer months. University and community college courses are not free and the costs vary among the provinces.

When you register your children at the local school or school board office, you must take with you:

Canadian immigrant visa (permanent resident card);

birth certificate or baptismal certificate;

vaccination certificate;

any previous school records.

Your children's language and mathematical skills will be assessed, if necessary, and they will be placed in the program the school thinks is best for them.

Education in Canada is available in English and French. Many Canadian parents, even if they do not speak French themselves, believe it is good for their children to be able to speak both English and French. Some put their children in a French immersion program, where children learn most of the regular subjects in French.

Hands beauty care your nails. (OD5006) -- Anonymous, Mon, Jun 23 2008, 7:19:30

Apply hand lotion and begin to massage the palm of your hand with the thumb of your other hand. This will help to circulate the blood. Work your way over the remainder of the hand and then repeat giving equal time to the other hand. Before color is applied to nails, they must be cleaned and the easiest way to do this is with an orange stick that has been wrapped with cotton. Dip into nail polish remover and then rub over the surface of the nail. Check the nail for any creamy residue. When none remains, your nails will be ready for polishing. Time for color. Pick up a small amount of polish on your brush and paint one stroke down the center of your nail. Your brush should hold just enough color to accomplish this. Stroke the sides of the nail and you are done. The nail should be completely colored in three strokes. Allow to set for a minute or so before applying the second coat. Wait until polish is set (dry to the touch) and then apply the top coat. Don't skip this step as it not only adds life to your manicure, it will protect your nails as well.
Sanitize all of your equipment with alcohol and when they are dry, store them away until the next manicure. Nail Tips: Nail polish can be stored in the fridge. If your nail polish is too thick, try thinning with a polish thinner. To prevent the cap from sticking, coat it with a little Vaseline to prevent this from happening. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html</a>

Opportunity for 3-8 yr old girls -- Anonymous, Wed, May 14 2008, 19:58:42

Hello Pageant People, This is Michael Galanes. It seems my entire life I have waited for a moment like this and finally, it has arrived! My pageant has been picked up for 6 episodes on a major cable network! The game plan is that each episode will be an independent pageant. The pageant age range is 3-8 years. The three categories will be: brief interview, WOW WEAR (anything you have that will WOW the judges, this outfit can be Citrus Wear, Western Wear, a talent costume, Holiday Wear, or ANYTHING) and of course beauty or evening wear.
Although these are tentative plans and are subject to change:
How it will work is that there will be 15-20 different girls in each of the 6 pageants/episodes. The Network will follow/film 2 little girls per pageant before and during the pageant. It is my educated guess that there will be 1 episode in South Florida and 5 in Central Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville).
The Network Producers of the show and I will conduct interviews/meet and greets with the potential contestants and Moms. There are limited spots. Please call Michael Galanes at 954-797-0313 or e-mail him at michaelgalanes@bellsouth.net to schedule your time to meet with the network show producers.
I promise this show will be exactly what we bring to it. I have achieved a bit of fame with Making The Band 4 on MTV as the Den Mother and this new pageant show could be the next American Idol, you knows? I know some Moms are concerned about a negative portrayal of her child, these are the concerns we may speak about with the shows producers. I am with you EVERY step of the way.
The dates of the interviews are Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Famous Faces Modeling Agency, 3780 SW 30th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Friday, May 23, 2008 at Sheraton Orlando North, 600 North Lake Destiny Drive, Maitland, FL 32751 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MICHAEL GALANES AT 954-797-0313 or e-mail michaelgalanes@bellsouth.net
Please bring pictures (glitz and natural) and competition pictures (taken at the pageants) and your competition evening gown. Congratulations, I will say that each of you who received this e-mail will appear in one of the pageants and the network is simply picking the 2 contestants who will be more closely shadowed per episode. The children who are shadowed will not have a better advantage of winning the actual pageant.
These pageants will be 1st class events, with beautiful crowns and banners, and quality production. I hope to see you all soon!

Clothes Styles and Body Shapes.(WS3535) -- Anonymous, Mon, Jun 16 2008, 2:02:20

A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing that fits well. Over powering prints should be avoided. visit: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html">http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html</a>

The Canadian climate: What to expect and what clothes to bring(OD2102) -- Anonymous, Fri, Jun 13 2008, 9:17:18

You may also find it harder to concentrate on tasks, and, eventually, you can also find your patience grows short and your level of frustration rises, even when confronted with seemingly simple challenges," says New York University nutritionist Samantha Heller, MS, RD.
If this is starting to sound familiar, take heart. Energy zappers are all around us, some obvious, some hidden. The good news: There is a way around almost all of them.

Your first step in Canada. (OD2345) -- Anonymous, Sat, May 10 2008, 5:23:08

You will probably find the entry procedure fairly straightforward because you have a passport and other essential documents.

You will be interviewed by a Canada Customs officer. You will need to give the officer a list of all the household and personal items that you will be bringing into Canada.

You should also show the immigrant visa to the customs officer, who will refer you to an immigration officer.

The immigration officer will check your visa and travel documents and ask you questions similar to those on the Immigrant Application Form, to verify that you are of good character and in good health.

Healthy Tips for Healthy Minds (OD022) -- Anonymous, Tue, Apr 08 2008, 14:23:07

Positivity rules
Try to stay open-minded and positive. Negative, rigid and inflexible attitudes decrease your ability to deal with the stresses of life and prevent you from enjoying yourself.
Get your zzz’s
Be sure to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Fatigue can interfere with the information you have already stored and your ability to learn new things.
Beneficial B12
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to serious and irreversible physiological and psychological problems. Get your intake from foods of animal origin like meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.
Stress-free solutions
To combat stress, go outside for a brisk walk instead of smoking a cigarette. Reach for your running shoes instead of the TV remote or a chocolate bar. Regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes a day for most days of the week) and a healthy, balanced, low-fat diet will not only make you feel better but help you to better manage your stress.
Morning energy
Need a boost in the mornings? Time your coffeemaker so that the aroma of coffee coincides with your alarm. Sing in the shower. Use lotions with stimulating scents such as mint. Plan at least one fun thing to do each day. Eat breakfast. Listen to a radio station that makes you laugh – laughter is one of the best energizers around!

ISAP (Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program)(008) -- Anonymous, Mon, Mar 24 2008, 9:42:14

ISAP helps newcomers gain access to community services to meet their immediate needs.

Under ISAP, immigrant-serving organizations can:

* refer you to economic, social, health, cultural, educational and recreational services;
* give you s on banking, shopping, managing a household and other everyday tasks;
* provide interpreters or translators, if you need them;
* provide non-therapeutic counselling; and
* help you prepare a professional-looking résumé and learn job-searching skills.

The Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program (ISAP), a federal government program, pays for these services.

A list of immigrant-serving organizations across Canada can be found on the Internet
at www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomer/welcome/wel-20e.html.

:

Your local immigrant-serving organization can direct you to a LINC Assessment Centre, which will then refer you to organizations offering LINC classes. You can also refer to the book Welcome to Canada: What You Should Know to find a LINC Assessment Centre in your area.

Manitoba, British Columbia and Quebec have programs similar to LINC, the Host program and ISAP, but they may have slightly different names.

Your local immigrant-serving organization can direct you to a Host program organization in your community.

Here are a few that I think is very fair, RPG, Georgia World, Cover Miss, Razzle Dazzle, Diamond USA, Tropical Dream Stars. I cannot guarntee that COI's do not exist in these, but I have not experienced any with these sytems. A few to stay away from is Gundrops or any South Georgia system as they all stick together and their kids or friends always win regardless, another one is Holiday Productions there is to many questionable things going on with this director. I am sure there are more good ones in Ga, just give a few a try and judge for your self as every one has different opinions about different systems.

Then who we all would like to know, even though I pretty much have to agree with most of her choices and also agree on the other 2 as there are too many complanits about them, afraid to try them, I do not have money to throw away.

THE " RENEE STAY OFF OF THESE BOARDS WAS FROM ME AND IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE A NEGATIVE POST, CLICK IN FOR MORE -- Anonymous, Sat, Jul 30 2005, 5:43:19

Alright Renee, First of all when you post things on a message board you are just asking for a reply, good or bad. The best thing you can do for you daughter and yourself is ignore anything you see about you or her. The bashers will only quit when they know they can no longer annoy you. People don't take this crap serious. You can bet, anyone posting negative comments on these boards is most likely a person who is always trying to keep something stirred up. For instance, theres a lady in the South who opens one message board after the other and continues to bash people. When the bashing gets so bad and people want her board shut down she just goes and opens up another to start it all up again. And this person is supposed to be a professional. So you never know whose doing the bashing. I will tell you from experience, if you will stay away from posting on these boards they will eventually stop the bashing. A basher thrives on controversy and the more you post, the more you're gonna get back. So please for you daughters sake, take my advice and no matter how much it hurts to see something like that, just think, the person posting such isn't worth your time of day. If they have nothing better to do than open up or get on message boards daily and bash people then they really need mental counseling. Hope this helps!!

need your help!!!! -- Anonymous, Sun, Jun 06 2004, 20:06:28

ok, here i go........lol i have a daughter that is 8 yrs. old, and we have been in pageants just over 2 years, she has done well, and i have bashers that are up my rear all the time, i can't even breathe right to them, if my daughter wins, they say it is because i paided them off or that the director was so scared of me she just gave it to her, i am a big lady, but not at all violent...lol but anyways it has gotten so bad that i have been kicked out of pageants because of them bashing me and me defending myself on boards.... then my sister in law which also done pageants with me decided to quite because of all the crap, well she got on the boards and let them have it bad... and that is why they have kicked me out or 2 systems, cause of some of the things she said, well i am at a loss, please give me some advice thanks....reply or email me @ rqueen4339@msn.com thanks

I suggest you talk to the Directors and explain, also keep your daughter in pageants if that is what she wants to do, letting others destroy you is one thing, but keeping your daughter away from something she loves is another. Most bashers are very envious people and love to hurt others no matter who they are. Ignore it is will eventually go away, but mainly stay away from posting any comments on any bash boards, most the time it is someone you know who owns it, they loves using anything they can to hurt people. Hope this helps and good luck to you and your daughter.

Grace's mother if you did write this then you need to get over yourself. No one is talking about your or your daughter. I never thought of her as a name kid. You really come off as a moron when one re-reads your post.

Geez Renee. Come on. No one gets mad when your daughter wins. You throw fits and say things about kids to make yourself feel better. As the above poster pointed out your child isn't a name kid. Most of what you do are prelims and there may be 1 or 2 in her group and they are usually kids who have never done pageants.

Your daughter would be fine if you could keep your attitude and mouth in check before, during and after pageants. Directors banned you because no one will do their pageant if you are allowed there. Moms don't want their children around you or your mouth. Your daughter unfortunately has picked up that attitude. She is a very rude child.

Bad experience with South Georgia pageants!!!!!!!!!!! -- Anonymous, Sat, Jul 30 2005, 5:28:07

I know exactly what you mean about South Georgia pageants. I believe they know the judges or pick people they know personally. We are from south georgia but not in that "click. It's amazing to me how my daughter can compete anywhere else and do really good but let her compete with this certain click and nothing. Just be very weary of letting your daughter compete in these small communities where everybody knows everybody. I really didn't believe pageants were "FIXED" as some people say but do a south georgia pageant (especially southeast) and you will find out different.

MTV NEWS AND DOCUMENTARIES

We are currently interviewing and casting for an upcoming show that
will document the life of beauty pageant contestants. We plan to follow
several people who are preparing and training for an upcoming pageant
and include in the mix the family, friends, coaches (walking,
interviewing), and peers who support them.

America is obsessed with pageants and the beautiful girls that enter
them. So why do you compete? How far would you go to win? Do your peers give you a hard time? Do you ever have to deal with jealousy? Does your family support you? Have you ever competed in a pageant with an unusual twist, something off the beaten path just to get the crown? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

We are looking for a wide range of personalities with unique and
interesting stories to document this Spring and Summer. If you are
preparing for an upcoming pageant, or know of someone who is, we’d
like to hear from you. Share your story and reveal to the world what
really goes on in the life of a beauty queen. If you appear to be
between 18 and 28 and are willing to share your story on camera,

Beware of Ultimate Queen and Petite Universal -- Anonymous, Mon, Aug 30 2004, 23:54:17

Seems that Ultimate Queen and Petite Universal ended up with the same queen. Thought you couldn't carry two titles from the same director but I guess it doesn't matter since AC doesn't live 20-30 mintues down the road. I guess it's true what has been going around about this pageant system and this really proves it true. I hope the director is happy since no one in their right mind would compete in this pageant system again knowing they have pre-picked winners!
Want to check out my website and see what I endured at Ultimate take a look. Not including what CB done while he done my H&M. It's worth taking a look!

Queen for a Day -- Anonymous, Tue, Jun 22 2004, 11:31:25

Please pass this information along to anyone you think might be interested...thank you…

Hey everyone,
My name is Robbie Wilson & I am with a non-profit organization called Queen for a Day. The goal of this non-profit is to raise the self-esteem & self-confidence of young girls with cancer (or other illnesses). We do this by hosting tea parties at hospitals where the girls receive a make-over & tiaras (donated by titleholders or pageant companies across the country)! The girls have their pictures taken with a title holder to commemorate this special day!

Since we are a non-profit we rely heavily on donations & we are running EXTREMELY low on tiaras! The National Headquarters has had to supply tiaras for 19 parties in the last 3 months & it has taken a heavy toll on our tiaras. If you would like to donate your tiaras, or know somebody who would like to, please contact me at Qfadmemphis@aol.com

Also, here is the website address www.qfad.org

Please go check it out & if you have any tiaras you could let go of let me know...the girls absolutely love it!

Thanks so much for your time!
Have a great day,
Robbie Wilson
