matt listened to her everyword, and eventually got up. as she circled him, matt steadied himself and looked at his feet. "dont do that..its nerve-racking." matt said with an adorable smile. he heard her inquiry and chuckled slightly. "for a few minutes." he said, his shoulders rolling briefly. "i just got bored being at my apartment alone, okay?" he said, acting as if he was defenseless. with arms on each side of him, he tried moving off of the ice without falling. when he was close enough, he took hold of the wall and jumped to the land. dry land. matt turned to look at her again and smiled. "does it look like i had any skates to join you?" he said with a curved smirk. "nope. so i just watched instead." matt said with smile. he furrowed a brow as yet another question poped into his head. "well i find it odd that you of all people are out here skating all alone." he said matter-of-factly, cocking his head slightly to the side and putting his hands back into his pockets.
matt noticed that she seemed perhaps a few years younger than him. but not so young to be illegal. thank God. just an aquaintance he supposed. she looked to be in high school, or a freshmen in college. his years of paying more than enough attention to females had granted him with this knowledge of years. matt simply watched.
