cadee walked alongside salem, feeling the warmth seep into her skin from the jacket folds. she heard random words appear from his vocal cords. after a moment of thinking, cadee comprehended the statement. long, slender pistons quit moving as she turned to face him in the cold. for the first time in their whole meeting, cadee stared him straight in the eye. icy blue eyes drove into his. she couldnt believe his offer. she had never witnessed someone giving her a place to stay, for nothing. "i cant...." she paused. "you wouldn't mind?" cadee finished, feeling seeping into her sullen eyes. cadee failed to know what to think of him now. she wore her heart on her sleeve, as always. battered eyes looked up at salem as she stood.
