• cadee listened carefully, understanding the soleumn words. cadee understood his offer as well, and picked her head up, gazing over at him. "it'd be my pleasure." cadee replied softly, standing from the chair. she felt so uneasy and uncomfortable in here. and she hated it. cadee looked over at him and began to walk straight to the door. cadee reached the door and pushed it open, stepping back out into the pure coldness. bitter chills ran up her spine as she held the door open for salem. a faint breath was exhaled from cadees ribcage as it was seen in the air above her. she crossed her arms across her bust as the chills reappeared on her procelain skin. "okay. we'll go there then." cadee said softly, beginning to move down into the street. she began to walk, the chill picking up around her and setting on her facial features. she shivered lightly. the tattered hem of her dress moved into oncoming breeze as well. cadee was not very socialable, but this man had made a stand, and had chosen to speak to her out of want. or pure pity. she wouldnt know, and chose not to think about pity. slim figure moved beside salem as she moved down the street. "only if you'll be okay without it." cadee said softly. wearing her heart of her sleeve again. one of cadees usual mistakes. cadee walked astride him, eyes still gazing at the ground below her. although the ground seemed far over her head in her brain. cadee heard a movement near her, and turned her head, seeing a familiar face. one of the drug dealers she had used before. cadee quickly turned her face away when she discovered she had made eye contact with the individual. she kept walking beside salem. tattered locks fell around her almost gorgeous facade, seemingly hiding cadees ruffled beauty.   • cadee fixed the coat on her shoulders and said softly, "thanks." she said, almost feeling a small realm of safety around her for the time being. she felt his presence. she felt him near her. it comforted her. usually, nothing comforted her but dirty sidewalks. cadee heard his question and was ashamed to answer. yet she knew the truth. the cold, harsh truth. "in a dingy little apartment, or in an alley somewhere." cadee said softly, afraid he might label her a street rat and desert her like most others. cadee failed to mention how she got her apartment. she didnt plan on telling him either. well, not for the time being anyways. it hurt her to know how she got her apartment.   • cadee walked alongside salem, feeling the warmth seep into her skin from the jacket folds. she heard random words appear from his vocal cords. after a moment of thinking, cadee comprehended the statement. long, slender pistons quit moving as she turned to face him in the cold. for the first time in their whole meeting, cadee stared him straight in the eye. icy blue eyes drove into his. she couldnt believe his offer. she had never witnessed someone giving her a place to stay, for nothing. "i cant...." she paused. "you wouldn't mind?" cadee finished, feeling seeping into her sullen eyes. cadee failed to know what to think of him now. she wore her heart on her sleeve, as always. battered eyes looked up at salem as she stood.
