He was stunned to see her walk in, having missed her for awhile. When he spotted the baby in her arms, a broad grin lit up his face, and he stood quickly. Self-conciously smoothing down his slightly rumpled t-shirt and running a hand through his spikey hair, he walked over quietly. They'd been apart for so long, he wasn't quite sure how to approach her. He cleared his throat when he came near her, stopping to look at the baby. His dark eyes took on a tender, almost fatherly gaze. She was growing so fast, he was amazed.
