Prinsip hidup boleh saja dibeberkan sama siapapun juga. Empunya prinsip mungkin tidak bermaksud apa-apa, tapi kamu tidak bisa menebak isi hati orang lain. Bagus!, kalau isi hati kamu tidak bermaksud demikian. Kamu bilang begitu saya anggap saya percaya. Saya dan juga yang lain tidak pernah tahu maksud hati kamu yang sebenarnya, apakah busuk atau berbelatung.

Orang memang tidak akan menelan bulat-bulat, dan pasti akan mencerna terlebih dahulu, kalau tidak otak dengkul sebutan pas untuknya. Tapi kamu bicara seenak perut saja, saya hampir muuntah membacanya. Apa kamu yakin semua orang yang datang dalam diskusi manapun tidak akan menelan bulat-bulat prinsip hidup yang dirangkai dengan seribu satu macam kata-kata manis yang busuk! Berapa prosentase, tolong beritahu saya?

Kejujuran bagus kalau disadari terletak dalam diri kamu, tapi saya tidak akan menilai kamu jujur kalau kamu tidak memperlihatkannya. Percuma kalau disimpan dalam diri sendiri, seperti bangkai busuk tetapi dibungkus kain sutra. Terlalu mahal harganya.
