He didn't want to scare her off of telling her story - as much as he wanted to know, he thought it might be a bit therapeutic for her to finally be getting it off her chest too, coming clean and not having to harbor secrets anymore. One hand rubbed up her arm lightly as he looked down, meeting her eyes and nodding a little bit, wetting his lips - he didn't need to comment, just indicate that he understood and she could go ahead - her secrets were safe with him.
