He sat out on the beach, a distance from the water, his eyes clouded as he gently fingered his wedding ring. A soft sigh slipped from his lips as he leaned back, clad in just low slung khaki shorts. His head tilted upward, gazing at the stars thoughtfully. He enjoyed the quiet, the peace, and being by something that Skye held so dear to her...

She had spent the afternoon and evening out there with some friends, but they had long since left her alone - she just wasn't quite ready to leave. Faded denim cutoffs - unbuttoned and the waist flipped down - were pulled over a simply elegant black bikini, long blonde ringlets tied back loosely, a good number of them having escaped and framing her face.
