Wasn't it always that way; you never wanted, or cared, about the things you had? I think, that if Liam could've... he'd have wanted to try out what it would be like to not be Liam Burbank who was born in a neat hospital on November 1st, in a small town, to a loving family, who had grown up to become the football star of his highschool. Yes, I really do think Liam would gladly switch someone for the chance to not be himself, even if it were only for a day. This is not to say that Liam didn't love his parents, and even his angsty sister (who was no doubt sitting up in her room blasting music and pretending that she had no idea her brother and his first girl were coming over tonight... so typical of Briar.) -- because he loved them all... as much as one person could possibly love their family. It's just... our Liam didn't want to be OUR LIAM... he wanted to be someone else; someone less noticed. But there's not switching who you are, and Liam had yet to learn that. "No, no... dear, please no... Tex, darling, just have a seat. Oh yes, and this is my husband, David -- sitting over there, reading his paper..." urged Mrs. Burbank, a gentle smile tipping onto her thin, pink lips as she turned to the counter, and began pouring two other glasses of cocoa; one for Tex, and the other for Mr. Burbank. Speaking of Mr. Burbank... As soon as Tex and Liam entered the kitchen, Mr. Burbank -- dressed in a golf shirt and pressed khaki pants -- looked up from his nightly-reading of that day's paper to catch a glimpse of his son, and the girl who stood politely by his side. "Well, hello there..." greeted Mr. Burbank, a warm sile stretching 'cross his lovingly worn features. "Now, I presume this is Miss Tex MacBride, is it?" he questioned as he rose from his chair and outstretch a hand towards Tex, that same smile still worn 'cross his lips. "Yeah Dad," Liam answered, pulling out a chair for Tex at the kitchen table 'fore swallowing thickly, "...this is Tex. Remember... I told you about her..." Cue in the bright-blush for our Li-li...
