People never believed her when she told them she didn't like to talk about her parents -- they looked at her as if she was some traitor to their memories or something. And that's what Tex felt like twenty-four, seven.. She believed that someday she'd turn out as corrupted as her father, and end up where her father is -- 'cause he represented all the bad in the world to her. And sometimes, when all that bad is a part of you it's hard to believe that any of the good could ever make it out to be a piece of you. Because bad is so much easier to conceive than good. So, as he was speaking, she'd focused upon his words, wanting to totally make this friendship work.. 'cause well, it was her first. "Nah.. you just have to relax -- I'm not out to purposely embarass you or anything -- that'd be too risky." She gives him a smile, head still tilted as she clears her throat slightly, glancing towards the group to see a few of them depart, "Now.. you're wrong there, don't take that offensively. See, you're super-dee-duper in my books, a general sweetheart.. and that's what makes you great. Now, you don't have to believe it, but don't say it isn't true."
