Kale has to carry her inside, the sharp pain caused by lifting her head was unbearable. Eyes still tightly shut, she just kind of hangs in his arms.

Dr. Becker rushes over. "What's the problem here?"

She moans lightly. "I fainted and hit my head hard on a wood floor..." A small hand moves back to touch the seeping wound in the back of her head.

He kneels down behind her to examine the wound. "Yes, you definitely whacked yourself a good one there. Where does it hurt?"

"I get a sharp pain liek I'm being shot in the head every time I lift my head, and the lights hurt my eyes pretty bad."

He nods. "Sounds like a concussion to me. Bring her back into my examining room so I can check her out and get her some stitches."

Kale stood like a statue by Rai's side. He wasn't going anywhere, this whole thing was his fault and the least he could do was offer some support after what had just happened. Rubbing his sweat-beaded forehead, he looked down upon Raissa. His free hand combed through her blood-matted hair. "I...I'm sorry Raissa. I should have..." Kale sighed, feeling worse then ever. - After Kale has carried her into the room and laid her down, she smacks him away. "You should have what? Should have told me sooner, or at least at a moer appropriate time? Get away from me you bastard." * He raises his eyebrows but remains silent as he stitches up the cut and then wraps her head in a gauze bandage. "There now, all patched up. OK, for the next few weeks there will be no lifting heavy objects, no running or horsing around, etc. Get lots of rest, espically if you start feeling fatigued. If you start getting dizziness or intense headaches, come back in to see me. OK, that about does it. You're free to go." He walks them to the door then waves a short goodbye.   - "Get away..." Kale repeated 'neath his breath. Yeah, Rai was probably right... Him being away from her was probably the best thing to do... I mean, look what he'd done so far; nothing but screw up! Shaking his head defeatedly, he leaned forward -- despite her swatting actions. Softly, he pressed a kiss to her lips, cherishing the moment that they touched. With a overly-saddened expression, he solemnly nodded, "You're right... Look what I've done so far...     - She watches him, eyes wide with disbelief. "So what, you are just gonna end it now? Sure, make me fall in love with you, tell me you have a brain tumor, let me faint and crack my head open on a floor, take me to the hospital just to leave me now? You are so much lower than Cal I can't believe it. Good bye, Kale Klefton. If I never see you again it will be too soon." She walks away from him, headed to their apartment to pack her things.       - Stunned beyond words, Kale had sort of just stopped in midstep with his eyes firmly planted upon her bitter expression. As she exited the room, he found that to his disbelief -- he was rooted to the spot. Minutes after she had left, his feet began to work again and he followed her, glad to be at a safe distance.
