The pleading look in her eyes changed to astonishment, the kind of astonishment that flashes through a child’s eyes when they catch their first glimpse of a shooting star, when she was asked to stay. Her voice is an awkward tone as she replies to his question “Ivy, what’s yours?” She hadn’t met many children in the castle, her work usually consumed most of her day, and finding one that wouldn’t tattle on her for interrupting his sleep seemed to good to be true.
