No motion betrayed that the samurai lived, save for the rythmic rise and fall of his chest underneath the silks of his kimono. Ikari let the silence fill the air after the mouse stopped speaking, letting his words slowly process into some semblance of sense within his mind and spirit.

Kitsune... some part of him was unsurprised.

There was little to do for the moment save wait, and Ikari could feel the slow process of his wounds closing more, the energies within him working their incessant magics to heal him. Detrik had made one critical mistake, and that was leaving him alive, and with enough time for his body to heal the wounds that he had inflicted.

He could feel the small mouse's eyes on him, almost seeking to find some hope in the strange warrior who was suddenly in their midst.

"My sword, then, is the key, my small friend. The metal has not been made that it cannot cut through. It has pierced his armor once, and can do so again."
