Sherwood sits just beside the lamp, leaning back against a steel bar and finding a tiny pipe. Holding it close to the lamp's flame he lights it, shaking his hand with a wince as he pulls away. A few puffs later, he responds. His tone is casual but not light, as if there is no hope left in him.

"No key Sir, because there is no lock. No door. It's a cage of the house's making, you know. It's been this way as long as I've been here." He pokes at the material in the bowl and puffs a few more times, the tiny ember within glowing. "We've tried a thousand ways to escape. None of them have been successful. Detrik has holds on this place like no other I've seen. The only thing that can account for it is the house's apparent cooperation. I don't know what sort of history lies between Detrik and this place, or what arrangement they've made, but the two are inseperable."

"There were two, that escaped..." he thinks. "Ian, and Elondra. I don't know how they did it. Meimei says there are trods leading out of the house, into Pedrimor." He sighs whistfully. "I haven't seen the city in..." his eyes grow sad. "You can't tell time here. Chapman used to be reliable, but he's long since gone a little manic. The sun never reaches into this room, hell... we've never found the door. Once in awhile Detrik comes in, but that's rare. You should see them, Sir... almost happy to see the man that keeps them captive, because it's a change from what we usually see." He thinks on that a moment, and shakes himself. "He lets Meimei go, because when he tried to keep her in a cage, she started to die. It's not so much that she would kill herself- she has to stay alive, in the hope that she'll retrieve what he stole from her- but that creatures like her simply cannot be caged. She told me once it was a trait of all kitsune, spirit, flesh, celestial... " He sighs. "I hate it when he does that to her. She is a being beyond the average fae, and he takes her pride from her. Always bent on exerting his almighty will." He realizes he rambling, and looks up at Ikari, clearing his throat.

"But she fools him easily. He's obsessed with her, and she is able to sneak around him when he is relaxed. I suspect she'll be using his wounds against him, sometime this evening. You'll get your sword, Sir. Rest assured. Getting out of here is another prospect entirely."
