As the dense forest gracefully bowed it's exit, the stormclouds that had crowded the night sky of Sweet Luwin gave way to crystal, midnight stars. In fact, it seemed the good weather had it's way for several miles in any direction from the heart of the freehold, pushed back by some strong force of magic. Against the sky glittered the faint reflection of balefire from below.

Moonlight illuminated the grand holding in blues and whites, it's crystal spires and long, proud banners high, waving lazily in the night breeze. Though the frame of the building was old, a keen eye would note the Tuscan flavor of it's cut stone, lending Caer Avallach a streamlined, almost marbline look. It was meant to be spectacularly enhanced by the mid-afternoon sun, but was no less stunning when lit by the moon.

Golden light broke the blue, glowing from inside the many glass casements. The drawbridge was down, long chains that lowered it to the ground gleaming a clean, bright silver. Several guards stood both before the bridge and at the immense arch leading into the freehold main.

A man knocked on the door to the carriage, then opened it without waiting. With no look in on their visitor, Caer Avallach's guard barked in her rough, simple speech.

'Come on out, guest, and we'll see you to the parlor. But not without a once over, understood?' With that several of the guards in the distance could be heard drawing their swords in caution.
