Author: the wheel of fate
Subject: The Road West (Addo)

Leaving Alden, Addo precedes west upon the open road. Having had his profit and fun in the small town - there was the returning draw of the big city seeping into his veins. Pedrimor city was were the REAL action is, and he knew. Hell, even if he wasn't consciously aware, the adventure in his blood would guide the way as easily as any navigational method. It was upon this road that a curious thing happened... a beginning step into what would become one of the greatest tales of his life. For even if he didn't know at the time, the wheels of fate had begun to spin, and Addo's time was approaching.

The Road west was easy enough travel - having been one of the main freeways to the grand splendor that was Pedrimor city. Even through the easy plains that made up the environment, this street was long since cobbled - and a steady and constant travel atop it had worn it to seem a long path made of smooth stone. This street was wide enough for two wagons to travel side by side, and smooth enough for babies to sleep undisturbed in both. Addo had neither a wagon nor babies, but found the road comforting none the less. He walked casually, satisfied in the events of late, and whistled a merry tune from Rhell he picked up... but as he passed over a gentle hill, his tune left him. His attention fixed upon a strange scene playing out: Most cliche, it was the damsel in distress.

A young, fair woman - who couldn't have been more than twenty, was beset upon by a group of Bandits. Three bandits, there were, and lo and behold, all of them Eshu. They wore half-masks and had matching uniforms of deep purple silk, and each had a long braid of hair coming from an otherwise bald head - they were surrounding an overturned wagon. The road was now the resting place of what seemed a dead coachman and a dead warrior - clearly the last defence the poor girl had. The girl was half out of the overturned wagon, and shouting protests at the three Eshu - who had swords drawn. Though Addo was unaware of the situation, their intent seemed quite obvious.
