I own a Dell Dimension 4600C (as my desktop/home computer). It's been great but there is one thing that has been driving me crazy for the last year or so - for some reason I'm having trouble with Flashplayer. I'm pretty sure it wasn't always a problem (I've had this computer for a few years now), but I'm guessing at some point my Anti-Virus software (Norton at present) is interfering with ActiveX controls or something and preventing it to download. Either that or maybe it has to do with Internet Explorer 7 that I dowloaded several months ago? Everytime I try to download Flashplayer, I get the little movie that says that you will see when it is successfully downloaded, but if I visit a site that requires Flash, I always get a message that I need to download Flashplayer! Grrrr! It's frustrating b/c I have no problem on my laptop (also a Dell). I've tried toying with the internet settings and such, but I must not be 'tweeking' the right thing b/c I've had no success yet. Any suggestions!

Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren’t set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player. Also can right-click on a Flash Video than choose settings than Advanced and will get settings you can change.
