Spike and Tara are sat in silence as Kennedy batters around the cage
SPIKE
Oh hang on a minute, I just remembered something
Both stop and stare at him
SPIKE
You two have never met, what with you being dead and you still being in diapers last time she was around
KENNEDY

EXT – FOREST – DAY
DAWN

Dawn flapping about

GILES

Vi is running down the hall as she literally crashes into Andrew
ANDREW

I was supposed to meet Xander with the rent money

ANDREW
No, apparently he was with Nancy and they had a fight and that’s it

ROBIN
Okay I don’t really, sure I don’t get invited to meeting but I’m not their friend. I’m just their boss.

Robin glares at her before walking away
VI

INT – PALACE – DAY
Xander is having his feet rubbed by the little men, two others whisper in front of him before approaching him
MAN
It’s time to take you to the library
XANDER
You’re idea of special treatment is strange and not-likeable
MAN
We need to prepare you for the feast
XANDER
There’s a feast?
MAN
Oh yes! The feast of gods!
XANDER
I’m your god?
MAN
No. You’re our king!
Another of the men pulls a curtain across to reveal a stained glass window with a picture of Glory on it
XANDER
Rich enough to feed our god!
Xanders face drops as the men grab him
MAN
Now, time to read – she can’t feed on a weak brain!

INT – XANDER & ANDREWS APARTMENT – DAY
NANCY
Yeah, well he’s not here
ANDREW
Um, okay
NANCY

NANCY

ANDREW

NANCY
I’m waiting for Xander
ANDREW
I’m looking for Xander!
Nancy folds her arms
ANDREW

VI

INT – BASEMENT – DAY
KENNEDY
So you’re her?
Spike rolls his eyes and walks out of the basement
TARA
I-I’m Tara
KENNEDY
I know. You’re…pretty for a dead girl. No offence
TARA
I…I…d-don’t…
KENNEDY
It’s okay. I don’t hate you or anything, I get why all this is going on – they’re my friends too and I don’t want them dying. If I am Glory somehow, then I’m glad she’s isolated.
TARA
You can tell you’re a slayer
KENNEDY
Is that a good thing?
TARA
That’s debatable, it usually is though
(pause)
I’m glad you took care of her, kept her down
KENNEDY
I had big shoes to fill
Tara passes the most awkward smile as they hear smashing
KENNEDY

INT – LIVING ROOM – DAY
Buffy and Willow run down stairs, Spike throws one of the attackers to Buffy’s feet, it’s one of the little men.
Andrew and Vi come running into the house
ANDREW
Has anybody seen…
One of the men knocks Andrew over, Vi tosses it into a wall
BUFFY
Spike! Go to the basement!
INT – BASEMENT – DAY
Spike comes down the stairs – cage is open, Tara’s knocked out, Kennedy is gone
CUT TO.
INT – LIVING ROOM – DAY
Giles and Dawn are with them now, Dawn is cleaning Tara’s head wound
GILES
What happened here?
BUFFY
They’ve freed Kennedy
TARA
I don’t think she’s Glory…her aura, it was all hers nobody was driving with her
BUFFY
It has to be!
GILES
You’re only saying that because it makes it easier!
BUFFY
I’m saying that because there’s nobody else it could be!
VI
Xander
ANDREW
No, it can’t be him!
VI
He’s been missing all day – he was last seen helping a blind man
Buffy looks at one of the dead men on the floor, no eyes.
BUFFY
No.
VI
Maybe it’s not but we can’t let the idea pass!
BUFFY

How dare I come in here with another option and act like the slayer?
Buffy goes quiet

I am a slayer Buffy and I am a person, maybe you’re forgetting that with me like you all have with Andrew!

He’s a smart guy he knows what he’s talking about a lot more than some of you, yet like with me, Principal Wood, hell even Spike until recently – if someone wasn’t here from the start they don’t get a damn chance with you and your group!
BUFFY

ANDREW
Um, oh! Okay last time that people done the raid here and Glory went all away and stuff they were her minions and whatever!
BUFFY
Could you P.S that with a something we don’t know?
ANDREW
Locator spell! Whoever Glory is won’t appear on it, it’s two people it would confuse it!
WILLOW
He’s right!
ANDREW
If we locate Xander and it doesn’t show up, my guess is they’ve taken Kennedy to him, so she will…or the other way around!
BUFFY
Right, so all we need is a locator spell
WILLOW

BUFFY
Right, so here’s the plan! Giles – call Wesley find out anything you can about everything on this, Willow & Tara, build as strong a force as you can to guard the slayers…Vi

Vi, take charge of the slayers here – train them for whatever we might be having to face. Andrew you’re coming with Spike and Me
DAWN

Giles and Dawn exchange glares
BUFFY
Call Wood, he needs to be in on this. Knowing Glory, she’ll attack anyone and everyone who’s close to my life

EXT – PALACE/CAVES – NIGHT
ANDREW
I don’t like this!
BUFFY
I think that’s something we can agree on
SPIKE
Not very luxurious for a king
BUFFY
Wesley said that’s just a possibility
SPIKE
Right but he also said that if that is what the case is, then Xanders probably a vegetable by now
ANDREW

BUFFY

(beat)

SPIKE
Hey I aint sugar coating it for boy wonder over here just because his boyfriends in trouble
BUFFY
Shut up! Xander is not his boyfriend!
(pause)

(off look)
Didn’t say a word
The three of them easily enter the palace gates hidden in the cave
SPIKE
Why do they always go with caves?
BUFFY
I really don’t care…all I know is that both Xander and Kennedy came up the spell so either Andrews theory is wrong or neither is the host and Glory will be waiting for us
SPIKE
No offence but both are equally likely
GLORY
Hey princess
Buffy spins round to see Glory who immediately smacks her across the room
SPIKE
See you still go that perm thing going on?
Spike smacks Glory twice before leaping into the air and booting her in the face – she grabs him and throws him across the room, by Buffy
BUFFY
Where’s Andrew?
Spike looks across the room to see Andrew untying Xander
SPIKE
Being and idiot
(beat)
I can’t see Kennedy!
GLORY
Hey raggy doll don’t try and hide
Glory smashes the wall down that Spike and Buffy are behind, they roll out of the way into her view
GLORY
Boo!
BUFFY
You know what?
(beat)
You’re just as lame as the last time I saw you!
Andrew now as Xander, as minions approach, Xanders lost a lot of blood, he’s weak
ANDREW
Go away weird little people!
MAN
Leave our king!
XANDER
It’s a long story
ANDREW
Yeah well he’s my best friend so back off!
XANDER
I’m your best friend?
Andrew kicks one of the little people in the shin and runs off, using all his strength to carry Xander
Buffy and Spike are bundled by the little men as Glory waves goodbye
Buffy looks up and sees Kennedy suspended in a cage on the ceiling, she grabs one of the little men and snatches their carving knife – tossing it with full force and snapping the chain, the cage comes crashing to the ground.
Buffy pries the door open as Spike fights off the men, she runs out with her
Looking up as she leaves, Glory is stood on a higher platform level (a sticking out rock at the entrance to another cave) laughing
BUFFY
Spike now!
Spike runs out with Buffy and reaches into his pocket
Glory’s face drops as he smiles up at her
Spike pulls the grenade pin out with his teeth and runs, diving to the floor as the cave explodes
Andrew, Xander, Kennedy, Buffy and Spike lay by each other as they watch it go up in flames, Kennedy and Spike are smiling, Buffy isn’t.
END OF PART THREE
INT – SUMMERS HOME – DAY
GILES
I think it’s the right thing for me to do
DAWN
No. Not with everything that’s going on – they’ll point the finger at you
GILES
Which means it won’t be pointed at either of you or RJ’s family
DAWN
I’m talking about Glory – they’ll all think that it’s you
(beat)
If you leave then I’ll tell Buffy everything
Giles stares at her, uncertain as the phone begins to ring
CUT TO.
INT – LIVING ROOM – DAY
Kennedy, Wood, Andrew, Xander, Willow, Tara, Spike and five other slayers are dotted around the room
XANDER
Thanks for…you know
ANDREW
It’s cool, didn’t know I could fight like that
XANDER
I meant for calling me your best friend, it means a lot to be called that nowadays
Andrew smiles before walking away as Nancy walks in
WILLOW
Nancy, hey!
NANCY

XANDER
I hope you don’t mind, I thought it was about time that Nancy was in on the action – she’s just as in danger as the rest of us by association
BUFFY (O.S)
No. It’s good to have her here, the more the better
SPIKE
What’s the latest trauma?
BUFFY
There’s no way Glory’s dead. I can feel it, we’re surprisingly connected…
(beat)
Caridad and Vi have gone to the manor to collect the last of the weapons, we’re setting up sanction here. She’ll be back and she’ll be pissed.
ROBIN
Do we have a plan?
BUFFY
Not yet, first things first we need to find Faith and the other slayers
GILES (O.S)
No need.
Giles walks into the centre of the room as Dawn stands in the doorway
GILES
That was Wesley – their van has been found
BUFFY
Giles…
GILES
It was wrapped around a tree about twelve miles down from where you founds the others – two slayers were still inside. Six were travelling.
BUFFY
Where are they?
GILES
He says he made brief contact with Faith – they’re on their way to Sunnydale
Buffy stops and holds her neck in pain
DAWN
Buffy what’s wrong?
BUFFY

INT – MANOR – DAY
Caridad walks out of the bedroom, holding a large pile of swords and axes in her hands
CARIDAD
Yo’ Vi we should probably start moving before…
She drops the weapons in shock as she looks up to see
GLORY
