Dawn is staring out of the window as Buffy drives towards the shop
BUFFY

Police, this morning have discovered a radio active disturbance in the forests at the border of Sunnydale, California
BUFFY
Turn that up
Dawn edges towards it cautiously
RADIO
It’s believed to be a result of nuclear dumping beneath the grounds though scientists say that the crop circle effect is very unusual in such a low populated area
BUFFY
I’m gonna check this out – you okay walking the rest of the block?
DAWN
(quiet)

BUFFY

DAWN
Nothing. I’ll be fine
Dawn gets out of the car and watches incredibly anxious as Buffy drives off
CUT TO.
EXT – MAGIC BOX – DAY
Willow and Xander have managed to get out of the car as Glory runs over and jumps on the underneath, crushing it down more
GLORY
Oops
Glory jets over to Spike as Willow throws herself to the floor to look in through where Kennedy and Tara are both stuck
KENNEDY
Help us!
Both are stuck, Tara is unconscious
WILLOW

Willow looks up at Kennedy and reaches in, grabbing her arm
XANDER
Will, be careful
She slowly manages to pull Kennedy out, they look at each other briefly
WILLOW

Kennedy looks at Willow before going back to the car
KENNEDY
Willow lift it
Over by the shop, Glory is slowly walking towards Spike
GLORY
So how’ve you been?
SPIKE
Dandy, you?
Glory smiles before smacking Spike through the window of the Magic Box. Nancy, Andrew and Wood back away from the glass as she jumps in
GLORY
Hey guys! I’m Glory, the Vampire Slayer…slayer
ANDREW
Oh god!
GLORY

ANDREW
Lucky guess?
GLORY
You’re cute. I’m saving you til’ last!
NANCY

EXT – MAGIC BOX – DAY
Willow is holding the car up with her mind as Kennedy stretches the metal apart for Xander to pull Tara out
Kennedy sniffs as she sees smoke coming out
KENNEDY
Hurry
Xander pulls Tara to safety as the car explodes, throwing Kennedy into the street
WILLOW
Kennedy!
Willow rushes over to her as she hits her head on a water hydrant
WILLOW
Kennedy?
Kennedy’s eyes flicker open before she passes out, she’s still breathing
WILLOW
We have to get her to a hospital
TARA
I-I-I’ll go w-with her
Willow looks at Tara before running into the magic box with Xander

EXT – FOREST – DAY
Buffy pulls up and sees Giles stood at the edge
BUFFY
You heard about it too huh?
Giles turns to face the car, he’s a little startled
GILES
It’s strange indeed
BUFFY
How come you didn’t tell anyone you were here?
GILES
You were all busy. How’s Vi?
BUFFY
She’s out cold. Caridad’s shaken up pretty bad. Willow and Tara put up a barrier around the house though so they’re cool for now
GILES
Where are they all?
BUFFY
Dawn’s gone to meet them at the Magic Box so that Willow can do some form of mojo test or something – it’ll clear them off of the Glory hunt and make them known if they’re attacked
GILES
She’s come a long way
BUFFY

BUFFY
Giles would you be offended if I told you that you’re being very Oz like today?
GILES

Buffy – as much as this is a terrible thing to happen we don’t know how old that body is or even if it’s human. We have far more important things to deal with right now

The two slowly walk back to the car, Buffy looking back the entire time

INT – MAGIC BOX – DAY
Spike smashes Glory in the face as Wood kicks her in the back
SPIKE

Nancy is stood behind the counter as Andrew passes her various glass bottles, she tosses them at Glory who is getting uber pissed off and is about to jump at her when…
XANDER
Don’t even think it
GLORY
Fine I guess I’ll crush your skull instead
WILLOW
Back off!
Willow comes gliding through the whole, very tough love. Glory laughs and tosses a table up at the broken wall, it collapses around Willow, knocking her down and burying her legs
SPIKE
Argh!
Spike smashes an iron statue across Glory’s face, tossing her across the room. Buffy and Giles arrive outside as Kennedy is loaded into the ambulance
BUFFY
What’s going on?
TARA
G-Glory she’s inside
Buffy sprints in and leaps through the gap of the broken window
Glory has Wood by the neck as she slams him against the wall and squeezes tight. Spike’s eyes go wide, as do Buffy’s at the sound of a crack as Wood limps to the floor
Spike and Buffy both launch at Glory, smashing their fists into her head Glory looks straight back up and throws them into the walls at the side
Giles appears having ran straight upstairs, he grabs a dark magic book and faces Glory
GLORY
The book worm – whatcha got there mister?
GILES

Giles raises his hand and tosses a ball of energy at Glory the exact same as with Willow in ‘Grave’ she is held in a green ring
Buffy slowly rouses, looking straight over at Wood, her eyes not moving even to blink
Xander is holding Willow in his arms, she’s hurt her leg – Nancy and Andrew are holding each other behind the counter. All is calm
CUT TO.
INT – WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

Nikki kicks Spike in the face and attempts a second kick but he grabs her ankle and flips her over
SPIKE
Nice moves sweetheart
Spike pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket and unfolds it
SPIKE

Spike leans on a wall as Nikki remains on the floor
SPIKE
Chocolate swirls like the stares in your eyes

Buffy, Faith and Dawn are driving back together as an update plays

Forensics found a letter in the mans pocket, addressed to ‘B’ the words contained were ‘I’m Sorry’ and nothing else. It is believed to be a suicide

That is so sad. Not even a full explanation?

Buffy skids her car to a stop

Kennedy, Willow, Giles, Spike, Xander and Andrew walk through the door and settle around the kitchen, all long faced

(sniffs)

They run through to the dining room where Tara has a gash to the head, she’s bandaging Nancy’s arm

S-She’s gone

NANCY
Vi woke up. She told us about when Glory attacked her – then Glory came in, she broke out of her force field and she…
(pause)
She changed right in front of us
