More than a subconscious jab at his own father (whom he holds as the ideal king and father throughout the play), it seems like Hamlet is foreshadowing things to come. The lines (I.ii l.253-254) would refer to the foul play performed by his uncle-king in killing his father and the foul deeds to come as results of that action.

Immediately following those lines enter Laertes & Ophelia, perhaps two more tragic deaths than those of the royal family if for no other reason than their relative innocence. Not to say they were without blemish - they did associate with the king - but that their deaths were almost collateral to royal problems.

I just can't see Hamlet denigrating the thought of his father, so the effect of this passage would be more theatrical/literary than character revealing in nature...
