I agree with the fact that many critics think that Hamlet's problem is that he can't get around to killing is the reason for insanity is in fact insane itself. I think Hamlet is an extremely troubled youth because his father's ghost appeared to him and told him to avenge his death, yet he knows it is immoral for him to kill people and he is afraid for his own soul. I think when Hamlet encounters Claudius praying and he says he cannot kill him because he will go to heaven because he is repenting, he is actually making excuses for his inability to see killing Claudius as moral.
