I have mixed feelings on this, since I don't really know how much innocence Saint-Exupery was pushing. It isn't like people randomly decide to not use their imaginations one day and they therefore become adults. The fact that Saint-Exupery was a pilot during World War II sort of implies that he understood the responsibility adults have it not being naive about things, but I don't really think that was accurately represented. Adults deal in reality because a lot of the world sucks and sometimes a lot of people suck and they have to reduce things to the lowest common denominator in order to set everything right. Again I'm certain Saint-Exupery understood this...
